Machinable Macor Ceramics Parts are a high-performance engineering ceramic material composed of two main components, fluorite mica and borosilicate glass, with excellent processing characteristics. MACOR glass ceramic is a machinable ceramic material developed by Corning Inc. in the United States.

It has good processing characteristics and features such as 0 porosity and 0 water absorption. Its gas release rate is 0 in ultra-high vacuum environments. Therefore, many ultra-high vacuum components often require this material to make the corresponding components. MACOR is a high-performance, easy to cut special ceramic that solves the problem of ceramics not being processed with milling cutters, improves processing efficiency, and is often made into various types of precision components.


Macor Ceramics Parts Feature:



A. Corrosion resistance

Because it is made entirely of inorganic materials, it does not age or deform, is very stable to various organic solvents, and has good acid and alkali corrosion resistance.


B. Excellent weather resistance and durability

The acid and alkali resistance of crystallized glass is better than that of granite and marble, even if it is exposed to wind, rain and polluted air, it will not deteriorate, fade or lose strength.


C. High strength and light weight
